Has anyone considered getting a bunch of fathead minnows from a local stocking company for food for stuborn fish that won't get off live like armies?......isnt there less risk for parasites in them then guppy feeder and goldfish lfs have ?....how's the nutritional value?

I would frequently buy them for my pred tanks as they are much cheaper than lfs feeders, however, I would say the risk for disease is almost higher and nutrition, not much better.

That's what I've always been afraid of but I went to pet supplies plus and found out they treat the fish with ich and parasite medicine

I used to feed my pike cichlid minnows from bait shops cause it was cheaper and bigger than guppies. I just setup a separate tank and cull all the sick or bad looking ones. Eventually the pike learned to take frozen silversides tossed in with the minnows. I just stuff the minnows before I feed them. No problems with the pike getting sick or anything.

Well ya, all lfs are gonna be doing this, if you dump a bunch of copper in grossly over stocked tank that is not going to help rid diseases.
