Faucet Filters vs letting water sit out

If I use my faucet filter/purifier do I still have to let the water sit out for 24 hours? I still intend to use the water conditioner.

If you're are using conditioner then NO your water should be fine. Just be sure to match the temperature!

I jjust get the water temps the same, put the conditioner in, and then stir it up and pour it in. No problems.

yeah... thats pretty much it. you can do either or though... my husband lets it set out.... i do conditioners

The type of filters your talking about really don't remove all that much from the water. They DO help with taste and some heavy metals but IMO you'll still need the conditioner so just use that and save the filter for drinking water... Better yet get a nice RO/DI system and have totally pure water.....

although we have a large under sink filter we just hook up our python to the faucett,adjust the temp and fill the tanks while im dosing the water conditioners.works for me...allwet.....

IMO if you're using water conditioner I see no reason to have to let it sit out

What kind of fish are you keeping? If they're not Discus or Saltwater, then water conditioner will be fine.
