Faulty fx6

Hello all.

Today I got a brand new FX6 and when it came to setting it up I followed the instructions and set it up as it said now ive turned it on nothing at all happens. It buzzes slightly and then stops. Ive taken the ends of the hoses and the filter isnt taking anything in and nothing is coming out. Ive tried sucking the outlet hose to get siphoning going but no luck as soon as i stop it stops. The filter is all on and has been on and plugged in for well over an hour now and still nothing.

Any ideas? Ive taken the 4 screws out and had a look at the impeller and nothing is blocking it, does this void any warranty etc?

Try filling the canister with water... attach everything and plug it back in... It should run for a few seconds which would get your siphon running... Then it will stop to purge and get any air out... If non of that happens is take it back for a replacement

Are the main valves in the open position? When I set my FX4 up the first time, they were closed and like yours did nothing. Then I noticed and opened them and bam been working ever since.

In the instructions, it says to add 2 gallons of water and make sure the valves are open. Mine runs flawlessly.

I’d those recommendations don’t work, empty the filter and remove the motor housing. Run it under water and plug the motor in to see if it spins. Sometimes they gum up for some reason. Had it happen to me many times.
