What is your favorite filter? I need another filter for my 125. Right now I have an aquaclear 110, which pumps out over 400gph. I was thinking about getting another aquaclear 110, what do you think?

i like the ac's if i was you i would get the fluval 404 or one or two more ac's depending on how many fish u have in your tank.
I have a Fluval 404, but the impeller broke. I bought a new impeller, and got it working again, but when I went to check on my tank a few hours later, ther was about 5 gallons of water al over the floor, and the fluval was spraying water everywhere, and I tried but couldnt get it fixed, it kept spraying water, so I dont want to mess w/ another one. I think Ill just get 1, maybe 2 more aquaclears.

heck if you dont want the filter just sell the case and lid on ebay someone might have a cracked case but a good motor? or you might be able to find the motor and all that cheap on ebay and not have to worry about it.
Its not the motor, its that part on top of the lid that you can pop off, it doesnt close all the way anymore, no idea why, but Im going to take another look at it tonight!
on my 55 gallon and i had a Emperor 280 and it was doing good in the 1st month then it sucked im never getting one again. Then i got a aquaclear 50 and a 70 and just packed them with foam and now my water has never been clearer
This fave filter thing comes up quite often as I have said before and will possibly say again I am fortunate a very good friend of mine owns a LFS and I have had loads of filter when my fish room was in full production (I used to get the ones he used to get in on used set ups he bought in) and out of all the makes I have had the simplest to use reliability and easy of spares is for me Eheim now I have scaled every thing down my main tank still runs a 2250 Canister Eheim its brilliant. The great thing is now the classic range is so affordable if you want a canister then get an Eheim but if you have the room fit a Sump.
