Hey guys i've had a fluval305 in a 55gallon for about 2 months now i like it alot but recently i was thinking of what would work best for my tank, i took the carbon out because i have plants... then added clearmax... which i guess isnt so good for plants either. i was thinking bioballs and prefilter for all trays but maybe you guys have other great suggestions. i've got quite alot of left over food right now (im trying to pellet train my fish :( )

i'd love to see what you guys like to use in your filters!

i would get some ammonia remover pads.

that wouldnt be a bad idea... haha i was thinking maybe putting scrubbies in a level, anyone ever tried that? im not too sure if we have biobale here ill have to have a look

I got mine locally, in Washington state.
Since you are only filling 1 canister, buying a smaller amount is better.
I needed to fill 4 canisters, so that is why tried bio-bale.
