There is a many cool what are called the little super reels being made having high drag setting and many high tech small sealed bearings .
I have tried Quantums ,shimanos and abu 's.
I prefer the abu's they are super well built and cast like a dream .They are also cool cause they are all rated for salt too and nothing beats salt fishing with bas gear .I own a premier ,toro and inshore .
What are your favorite and why ?

i heard the abu revo is incredible. except im not fortunate enuf to own/afford/have enuf passion to spend that much on one. i have an abu round reel 7700 or something, i find it somewhat.... i dont even know, but i wish it can do better xD

I have a Pflueger summit baitcaster, high speed retrieve.

i bought an abu cardinal 101? from walmart for about $30n and some far im in love with it. its what ive braught all my fish in with this year

well money is not always the case of quality .I have a Quantum accurist which is considered in the middle of there line and its one of the best trouble free reels i have for $99 bucks .If you take of and oil and grease your reel each time they will last many years .

AG all the way for me. I currently have two Premiers and one STX-HS. They are all the 09 models. These reels seem to fit my hand the best. I have fished with Curados, Citicas and even Steez. All the other reels are GREAT reels, BUT the AG lineup seems to fit my hand the best and I love their durability. Just like with anything, maintain it like you use it. Would you drive your car for 10-12 months and never add oil???? :nilly:

Shimano's the best for myself, still have the old bantams on my rods, aswell as a few new curado's, abu garcia has dissapointed me of late being the reel i bought for muskie had a broken drag from day one, i went cheap and got shoddy craftsmanship, so yeah don't go for cheap reels.
