So many of these type threads going around....i think i caught the sickness so i had to put it up.

What is your favorite small fish (under 5"), and then what is your favorite "cute" fish (can be any size, but has to be cute)

My answers are

small fish: Tiger barbs, these guys are so active and the green ones display AWESOME colors! also my F8 puffer is pretty sweet, he has so much personality, i love the guy!

Cute fish: My 1.5" albino senegal, he doesn't do much right now but he is so cute....just this little worm thing lol. Also my F8 puffer is insanely cute with his deflated ball shape and little 8 on his back, and he has that puppy dog face.

I adore Keyhole cichlids. I'm not sure if they stay under 5'', but they don't get much better, atleast. They're neat little things.

German Blue Rams are always a cute fish.

And I have some weird thing with Orando goldfish. I used to own one that let me rub it.

dwarf puffers and glass catfish.
i go ape**** for either!

thats right, this may be monster fish keepers but there is still a place for small and cute lol

small fish I like my cons, but i also like black skirt tetras or exos [look great with a sera tank]

and cute fish that i wish i had would be a pig nosed puffer, i think thier cute

Favorite small fish would have to be guppies. I'm very interested in watching their population multiply with little effort from me.

Cute fish, hmm a baby bichir is cute I guess, or a small puffer.

i'm totally fascinated with my moonlight gouramis. they just have an amazing green sparkle when the light hits them just right, and a glowing orange eye to boot. not to mention their antennae that they use like arms to feel things out. i threw a swordtail into their tank once and it was hilarious just to watch my gouramis sneak over and give it a whack with their antennae. good stuff.

as for cute, it's not a fish, but there is a painted turtle at petland that has an awesome face. looks like its smiling. i'm not sure if it's western or eastern, and for awhile i thought it was actually a snapper mislabeled. it didn't have many colorful markings like most painted turtles so i still have no idea what it really was.

Faves? I don't pick one. I choose as many as I can.;)

Pearl gouramis, honey gouramis, Kerri tetras, harlequin rasboras, cardinal tetras, rummy-nose tetras, red phantom tetras, diamond tetras, black phantom tetras, Congo tetras, hillstream loaches, kuhli loaches, skunk loaches, blue rams, exodons, penguin tetras, glass bloodfins, hengeli rasboras, Sawbwa resplendens, celestial pearl danios, threadfin rainbows, praecox rainbows, corydoras, Botia kubotai, emperor tetras, glowlight tetras, neon tetras, etc.

:D
