I'm wondering what types of display tanks are most popular with people.
The reason I'm asking this is because I was thinking about someone were to set up a massive display tank in their house, what would be most likely for it to be?

I'd want plants no matter what. The fish get picked by price, availability, and what mood I'm in. I set up a tank for mbuna, and then stocked it with rainbows because I could not find a good source of mbuna, and now I've got kribs and I'm growing out geos, so it'll be a cichlid tank.... but there have always been plants in the tank. If I did a reef I'd put in some cool algae - I just like the green.
I keep my barebottoms planted too :)

Giant riprarium

Where the river/water meets land, basically a big water portion leading up to a shoreline covered with plants, this let's me keep aquatic, semi aquatic and terrestrials in the same tank

Over the years i’ve come across some really amazing planted aquariums / paludariums / ripariums of all shapes and sizes...

So that would be my main vote due to the absolutely endless possibilities...

-edit-

I think most would agree they wouldnt mind having something like this in their home...

Planted tank with Denison barbs is my absolute favorite. Predatory tank comes second, but who says you can't plant a predatory tank? lol
