As title states, whats your favourite and why? pics and experience would be great info!

I'm going to be looking into one soon, I'm a newbie to these things; so just trying to get a good few options then take it from there.

Thanks guys

I think dwarf baby tears look really great, but you need a shallow tank with high light and pressurized CO2, so it seems like a lot of work. A lower maintenance option is dwarf sags.

I've only ever owned 1 carpet plant, but when i was researching, this was the one i liked most and seemed easier to keep. It's Echinodorus Tennellus.
Fish and shrimp can sit on the plants or hide underneath them if they want to.

I'm looking to have both of them set-up shortly, so it could be a good option; I'll have a google :)

I've personally done a HC carpet in my 50G, and have had a dwarf hairgrass carpet in my 60G...

i think i prefer the look of the HC more, and for some reason, HC seemed easier to clean almost out of the two...

Im also thinking of what my next carpet plnt should be, so will keep an eye out on this thread for ideas ;)

^ Dwarf Baby Tears (Hemianthus callitrichoides)

Both Dwarf Sagittaria and Staurogyne Repens are excellent carpet plants. They are relatively easy to keep and pretty hardy. They can take a while to get going, but are beautiful once they do.
