Not to get into some abortion debate but as a pharmacy student I find this interesting. The FDA just approved Plan B for over-the-counter sale for anyone over 18. For those who do not know it is a estrogen pill that you take the "morning after" to prevent becoming pregnant.

So do you think the general public will be using this responsibly or do you think that its going to be abused?

Tell me, How does one abuse this type of drug?

I am all for this.

I'm all for it too.

I think more people will be willing to have unsafe sex by being able to take this pill after each time. When they should practice safe sex and take this pill also. You know, just incase something slips through.

I guess that would not be abuse. I just seen the terms drug and abuse and put the two together. LOL

People will have unprotected sex no matter what. It is already out of the box. I doubt this will increase it.

I'm not so sure about that, but it's a good thing this is out there. Less and less people should be having babies. In fact, most people should never have kids, but that's a different subject.

ABUSE: A woman having unsafe sex every night because she has these pills she can take the next day to prevent being pregnant. Translation: The pill is being used as a from of pleasure by being able to have unsafe sex.

NOT ABUSE: A woman having safe sex with her partner. Then oops, the condom brakes. Then the next day she takes the pill after a mishap with a condom. Translation: The pill is being used as a back up measure to ensure she don't become pregnant.

ya dig

Pleasure? In London, this is a £25 pill!
What's that like 50 US dollars?
It's not like the average Jo(anna) can afford $50 everytimee she has sex.
It's not an abuse thing. Just how it is marketed, it is an appropriate 'Plan B'
the 18 age restriction is also well devised.

I'll take one too just to support it!

I was stating how it could be abused, not saying it would be. There are drugs abused every day that are way more expensive.

Again, I'm for the pill.
