The company has also been sued last week by the parents of a young girl who died after drinking two twenty four ounce cans of the stuff...looks like they have a little more to concern themselves with than MFK.

The parents probbably wont win and even if they do it wont be much. The cans clearly state how much a person should be consuming. Also monster probbably has more money then the parents so theyl easily be able to manipulate the girls health info like how big or small she is and how it affected her metabolism towards the drinks

My guess is it will be settled out of court for what many would consider a large amount of money, but nothing exorbitant. It just depends on how much the parents want to stick on this, or try to move on. Not sure how one moves on from losing a child, but probably better to try sooner than later.

was just about to post this. Seen it on the news. If its negative and it hits the news, they will lose customers... I like to call it KARMA!

Heart goes out to the families effected though!

(Been a while since I've been on here Lol)

Like West1 said, this news is going to hurt Monster Energy regardless of whether they win in court or not. This could help to get Monster Energy to refocus its efforts on something other than MFK and maybe even get them to drop their war on MFK.

However, Monster Energy will win in court because the consumption limits are posted on the can & say that children & people sensitive to caffeine shouldn't consume the beverage. The girl had prior medical issues (heart condition of some sort & Ehlers-Danlos syndrome [can have an effect on blood vessels & connective tissue]) that were known to the girl & her parents, so that's certainly going to only help Monster's case because that easily places her in the "people sensitive to caffeine" category. Odds are that they'll settle out of court, though, just to get it over with.

I drink red bull.

Red Bull is the way to go! Drank a 12 pack of it the other day actually. :grinno:

^ if thats true i dont see how they can sue. Plus won't monster just keep dragging it out til the family runs outta money and give up?

I think/hope so,nothing like bad publicity for a company and they sure deserve it....As for Red Bull,I have not tried it.I actually have never tried any of those types of drinks.
