i bought a feather duster about... a month ago, a week ago it shed its "feathers" and i assumed it was dead/eaten by something in my tank, but a yesterday it regrew its feathers (however are much smaller), is this a reflection of poor water quality or nutritian or anything else?

most of the time they shed the feathers becaused there stressed or as u said poor water quality i would test your water and if your nitrates are over 20 ppm those where probly the cause but may just of ben stress
could be just shedding old feathers and growing new ones, i had two of mine shed a few days ago, and I'm for certain it's not because or water quality.
