Yea so we ate flounder filets for dinner and i took the. Chance to feed my cichlids real food for the first time. Basically i dropped a few small pieces in( pretty big for 3 inch fish) after my fish hadnt eaten all day, and watch them pick at the chunks as it falls under my rock. They kindve ignored it so i went upstairs and came back a few hours later. All of my fish are pretty bloated, the red fin borleyri almost looks as if it was a prego woman. Ive been checking on them as this is the only time theyve ever even been bloated after eating. I put a 2 inch chunk of flounder in the freezer until i know that its safe to feed to fish. So is it safe? Next time im feeding much less, and probably wont feed them until the bloatedness goes away after the fish poop their brains out.

Fish don't eat cooked food in the wild...its not the worst thing for them but its not the best either. If you really want to feed them fish I would recommend raw tilapia filets, just cut them into little pieces.
