Feed Large knives regularly

I made the mistake of forgeting to feed my almost 24" RCK for two days, an he tried to inhale a 4" Bushynose pleco. I heard splashing an my glass canopy moving.

Thankfully he was finally able to spit the pleco out. An was eating Imediatly after. I think theyll both make out ok.
 
you're lucky, my 4" pumpkinseed swallowed a ID shark like 2 seconds after dumping in the tank..
i made him spit it out but too late...
 
I dont think feeding regularly will stop a predator from doing what is natural.
 
^^^ yes the pleco is still in danger..... im glad they are both fine for now though.
 
While the pleco is in danger, so is the Knife because plecos will lock fins and spines out even when dead..... like barbs on an arrow.

Perhaps the knife has now learnt never to try eating the pleco again or perhaps the knife is now thinking of other ways to try .... even putting a log for the pleco to hide in might be a good idea or it may just be a time bomb.
