i was walking in the woods today looking for rocks. i picked one up and found a buch of small worms. i thought my oscars mite enjoy a snack. would it be safe to feed them these and if so how to prepare them?

yeah im pretty no chemicals have ben used in this area

if its deep in the woods then i would just give them a quick soak in bowl of tank water (so they spit out dirt) and a little swirl to make sure no dirt or residue on outside and then pick them out and throw them in:) im sure your Os will love it and theres not really anything i know of thats terrestrial that can infect aquatic animals but someone please correct me if this is wrong, you usually run into problems when feeding other aquatic animals to them (that are from same type of water, fresh cant really pass anything to salt and salt cant really pass anything to fresh because the organisms die off quickly when put in other type of water)

Agreed. If they're not in danger of having chemicals on/in them go for it. You could probably just feed them as is or after a quick rinse, but if you want to really be careful stick some wet paper towel in a bowl and let them crawl around a bit and void all the crap inside.

And your O will love them...worms are like fish crack.
