I am curious if any of you gator/croc keepers have tried the Mazuri croc diet pellets for your animals. Is it any good? do they seem to do well on it? I'm just looking for a simpler food that I can supplement my gator Prada on in between raw food feedings. Would like to hear your thoughts on this feed. thanks.

No, I haven't tried it yet because I have yet to find a store that sells it.

I'm currently feeding Cricket (12" American alligator) on crickets and pinkies (live and frozen/thawed), but I know that she'll take pretty much anything with some coaxing based on their diet in the wild. She's not very fond of pellets which would make the Mazuri Croc Diet a tough sell for her; I'm not sure if your gator eats pellets or not, but it may be a good idea to train it before purchasing that stuff.

I know quite a few breeders, zoo's, facilities that use it and they all have good things to say about it. As far as i know.... mazuri is the way to go for most of the animals they make food for. generally have to order it online though

i use it for my turtles, even WC ones, and they absolutely demolish it.

Hello,
Cant speak for gators or crocs , but I switched my two cyclura over to mazuri like two years ago and have not looked back.
They really have bulked up.
I did the fresh dark leafy greens for many many years and this is just so much easier.
I still give them fresh fruit, once a week , and always make sure they have access to fresh water.
They drink alot more with the dry pellet diet.

I threw some large turtle pellets I had in there when she was being particularly beggy the other day & she devoured them, hence why I figured the gator pellets wouldn't be too tough to get her on if I were to order them. I just tend to be wary about pelleted food, but it would certainly help to lower her feed bill if I could get her on something that doesn't require thawing/chopping & can be bought in a 25Lb bag.

i want to try some for my girl. supposedly she was on it before i got her but have yet to try any for her. i just hate going through the hassle of online.

This. Mazuri is pretty good stuff in general, I imagine the same is for the croc diet as well. I use their products for a variety of my animals, they all love it and do great by it.

Yes, it is an excellent food source and your gator will do great on it.
