Imo one of the best ways to check out a charity is look up there tax records,they are public.Check amounts paid in salaries and amounts that actually go to help the cause.
 
a thread about hungry kids get no love during the holidays,............

we donate to a shoebox project or something. buy little toys, pens, paper, soap, toothpaste/toothbrush and sanitary supplies and things like that and put them in shoe boxes. they get sent over to Africa for the holidays. a couple hundred get sent by our church every year. it's not much but it's something. been doing it few years now. it's a good feeling
