I have a 9 inch NGT with a 4 inch ck and 5 inch ornate bichar and pleco as tankmates...i was wondering if i threw in a 3" tig catfish would it be dinner for my dat?? the catfish is tight and i really want him...oh yea i also have a 4" rtc commin next week from florida but i think the rtc will be fine...

a 9" dat would be able to soak up everything in your tank.. maybe a pic of your fish together to better judge the situation? I'd never gamble anything as expensive as a tig and even if the dat doesn't gobble him up, the rtc will down him in 3 weeks..
aggressive.. just plain huge! they get an easy 3-4 feet and are predatory = no smaller fish left 
I have never owned tigs but they stay are relatively controlable size (never seen one over 24") but I guess they like all predatory cats will gulp down everything they can fit in their mouth..

The RTC will take down anything that will fit in its mouth. Even if the thing will not fit, it will definitely find a way to get it down. As for the dat, it all depends on the particular dat you have. Some eat some dont. You would have to try, but it would be a very expensive experiment.
