Hello, I usually buy black molies as feeders for my e-cat, bichirs and turtle. I Buy them from the whole sale price 150-200 at once monthly. But this time I think about buying mosquito fish-gambusia they are half the price of black mollies.
To be honest I dont care about the price, I always spend the same money on feeders, number depends on the price.
So, which is the better feeder fish? Gambusia or black molies ?

gambusia are mean.

ive seen a video of a probibly less than 1'' gambusia attack a 10'' payara. lol

I think allot of thsi depends on your personal prefernece... And for which is better... Which is more likely to be in the cats natural habitat.. Still.... better is at your discression...

I rarely post any opinion on this as too many take it too far with what they think they KNOW ;)

Why not just buy another tank and breed the mollies? I know it's whole sale price, but you could totally breed them or guppies and save a bit of money eh?

They're very similar since both are the same size and omnivores, so it will depend on how each is raised. If the Gambusia are fed a good meaty diet, go with them.

Any feeder raised in an over-crowed, under-filtered environment will have less nutritional value than properly raised fish. If that's a concern and you are capable of raising your own, (it's a little hassle to do it right) it's worth your effort.

They are aggressive to docile fish but just lunch to others :D.
