i have 2 oscars, a borneo tiger and an ornate, what would be the best fish to breed as a feeder fish, guppies or danios? i have a tank which is 25L/7 gal. set up, but if i have to i have a 20 gal tank but cant really be bothered setting it up if dont absolutely have to.

i would pick danio

No experience with breeding danios, but guppies will give birth once a month. Their fry are also larger upon birth, making feeding the fry less of an issue imo.

you'll get more fry with danios because they lay eggs, but u'll need to raise them to be "eatable." the guppies are bigger upon birth, survive easier, and would dont have to worry about moving the parents if you plant the tank with a thick floating plant for the fry to hide in. The danios would need liquid fry food or infusoria, the guppies will take finely crushed flake food as a first meal. Id definitely go with the guppies if I were you, and dont both getting more then one or 2 males

I'd go with guppies.

My vote would be guppies as well.

I raised two baby danios to adulthood, I don't think it's worth your time when you can raise many guppies more easily. Baby danios are so tiny you can hardly see them. Maybe if you did it in a pond it might be more worthwhile, I dunno.
