This is great i am sick of sites that complain and moan about giving your fish live food let alone the whole ethical area on feeding fish to fish with nowhere to run away. I say if you dont want to do it dont get predator fish.
I think I am going to like this site alot

People are not against feeding fish other fish, people are against those feeder goldfish because the conditions they are kept under are just horrible and the fish are very sick. Its not the fact that the fish dies it’s the fact that that feeder introduces all kinds of diseases into your tank.

Ming,
PETA is against keeping fish, dogs, cats, rats, bats, and old gnu's too-Anne

I use feeders all the time. I just won't ever feed them to my marine tanks or reptiles. The copper levels in which feeders are raised are so high that they can damage the livers of reptiles and kill off inverts in marine and fresh water tanks.

I don't see the problem feeding feeder fish as it is just as cruel depriving the large fish from its natural food source. When I get my new tank with aro's I don't want to feed them small ducks as it would mess up my tank so I will have to look for another food source. I would probably just feed white bait or pellets normally but maby feeders for a treat. In the UK you don't have feeders so you have to buy the fish as if to keep in your tank. I saw a lung fish being fed small white long coldwater fish but I am not sure what they are. Do neon tetras have nutritional value as I have seen them sold for about $0.45 each. Gold fish are about $3 and so are guppies.

I never cared for feeding feeders. I will feed them the occasional one though. My Sculpin will only take live food right now so I'm having to use feeders.
