i bought some feeder guppies and some of them have like a orange tumor on them at different places, some of them have more then 1 on them and some have none. what is it? how can i get rid of it? if i feed these to my cichla will it pass it on?

I would not feed them to your fish, if there are visible orange spots on the feeders. Post a pic. Sounds gross....

Post a pic of the "tumor". If you see something suspiciously bad about them, then don't try feeding them to your fish.

It would be unwise to risk using them, or any others from that source. Until you can get a new source you can feed with crickets or earthworms.

not all of the guppies have this on them. can i feed the ones without it? how about the fry in the tank i know some of them came from the bad guppies but would they still have it?

I would not use any of the fish that have been with the effected fish as feeders.

Seems more like an external parasite. Post pics. Buying medication for them will cost more than buying new feeders from a different source. In any situation QT the feeders for 2-3 weeks.

This doesn't do anything for you in the short term but will not infect your fish.
