might be wrong spot but for my ca/sa
i know u need to breed ur own feeders but what type is best for feeding larger cichlids (dovii, jag etc)
are we talking ****ter gold fish or what?

Some people breed convicts, but about any fish that has a large number of offspring would suffice.

Why waist the time and money growing feeders when you can just buy pellets. You will spend a fortune trying to raise feeders when pellets would be cheaper, easier, and better for your fish.

Ditto to this... but sometimes breeding the feeders is rewarding in itself.

Stick with the pellets and frozen silversides. Or some market shrimp. Feed the live feeders and you are asking for something to wrong soon.

It is but if you've paid attention to the ingredients in your average pellet you'll understand feeders dont have half the vitamins ect.
