hi all . I was wondering if you can freeze gold fish for feeders with out any problems . It seem everytime I bring 20 gold fish home and put them in the tank 10 die with in the hour just different ph and temp I quess , but can I freeze these freshly dead guys and use them later with in a couple of days .?

thanks brett

Ehhh i wouldnt... half of them wouldnt die that quickly just cause of ph and temp... ESPECIALY gold fish.... Feeders are already prone to disease and parasites due to conditions they are raised and shipped. IMO youd just be keeping the sicker of the feeders for later.

A different place to buy feeders maybe?

you could do it, but the reason why those feeders died in the first place was that they were sick, stressed, probably malnourished, and basically screwed up to begin with. Feeding them to the fish you prize could make your fish sick too. Recommend what Guppy Hell said and try to find another source for your feeders; or get a large tank, and get a bunch of feeder guppies and ghost shrimps together and raise and breed them so that you always have a supply that you know what the quality will be like.
Good luck
