A lot of people will tell you that "FEEDER's"Are not good (and they are right)
BUT ! If you feed "O" Say a feeder a month BIG FEEDER KOI YA . Big Whoop de due ! :)
Just do not make it a reg diet a frend of mine dose and my P's Are dubble in size .

I agree, don't make them a regular diet. Feed 'em like one a month as a treat or something. You can raise your own feeders and then a little more often b/c they won't have as much chance of having a disease or some bacteria....

The pet store told me to keep feeders in there at all time so they
dont eat each other. Also thanks for the info and not flamming a
newbie

leaving feeders in there will just add ammonia (toxic to fish-from fish waste and other decaying crap)

if you want to do live feedeing i would say once a month but quarintine them first (keep them in a seprate tank for around a month and have them in meds that will kill parisites)

better food options include: shrimp/prawn, talapia, catfish, whitefish, cod, pollock, salmon (not more then once a month since it would make them fat)
beef heart and other organs (once a month or less- same reason) as salmon,pellets.....

I'm having a similiar issue with my RBPs, they only want feeders because thats what the LFS fed them. I've tried feeding them krill, blood worms, and pellets, but the only thing i've seen they've eaten is feeders and the occasional extra lean meat.

I feed mine daily but on a varied menu. One day shrimp, the other day beef heart, then turkey heart, etc. and once per two-weeks a goldfish or two.

NEVER FEED THEM FEEDERS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>.....................
