so my cornsnake is now around 8 months old. Just finished all my fuzzy mice feeders and was wondering what to step up to now? She was eating 2 fuzzies each feeding. Figured i could start feeding http://www.rodentpro.com/images/size_m_large_adults.jpg Large adult mice. Because the fuzzies didn't even leave her with a bulge in her stomach. So should i step up to large adults and should she be able to handle it?

Crazy picture. :-)

I would continue fuzzies or small adult mice for a couple more months. You really don't want to see a large lump in the snake after feeding. Small lump is better.

What a big jump, from fuzzies to large adult mice. Don't do it. Start feeding her three fuzzies at a time, and if shes ok with that, after about 1-2 months you can move her onto ONE SMALL adult mouse every 10-14 days and she how she does. Then feed her ONE SMALL adult mouse every week for another month or two. My four foot male is on rat weiners, when I bought him he was still on fuzzy and took me a year to get him on the weiner rats.

Don't overfeed or feed to large a prey item, your snake will just regurge and its uneccasary stress. You should not really see a bulge in a snakes stomache anyway, thats mostly with Boa's and pythons that get by on only a few feedings a year. Good Luck.

I'd step up to hoppers, or weanling mice at the absolute most. It's a good idea not to feed the snake anything larger in diameter than the snake's body, especially a young snake.

go for hoppers. the snake can handle anything that is the same diameter as the widest part of the snake. you'd be surprised what it can take down. if its eating 2 fuzzies at a feeding then it wont have problems with the hoppers. then from hoppers go to small adult mice, then regular adult, then large adults and depending on how big it gets, when its an adult you can feed it fuzzy rats.
