Hi guys, I usually buy a small bag of feeder/ghost shrimp for my 9.5 inch ornate bichir. Prob is, many of them seem to die off, in small numbers (2-3) over e next few days. I always have to scoop them out to prevent them from rotting n dirtying e water. They will turn orange or pink or juz plain opaque white when they die. And they smell like #@$% crap!! Any ideas why dis is happening? I thought it cld be temp cos I noe shrimp are quite sensitive to temp, so I dun on my tank light for tt long in case e water heats up (e light is pretty strong). But e prob still persists. I do weekly 40% w/c unfortunately tts all. Anyone can offer advice on how to deal with dis, and what cld be a possible cause? Thx =)

just a guess here but i would say the tank they were in at your lfs has high levels of ammonia.could be ammonia poisioning.
