my payara has a feeder stuck in its mouth. it has been for 20-30 mins but he is still breathing and looks like he is trying to swallow it. should I extract the feeder or will he throw it up
Leave it alone, trying to remove it can injure your fish. I fave had several fish eat feeders that were to large and take hours to get then fully swallowed, A 10" marbled goby eating an 8" LMB for example.
i caught a large mouth bass and it still had a bullfrog in its mouth! the two legs were still sticking out of its throat. what a pig. yeah its ok, its just letting the first part of the fish start to digest before it swallows the rest.
