whats so wrong with feeding large cichlids and catfish rosy reds or goldfish----im feeding hikari pellets and they seem so messy dirty and smells bad and im not overfeeding

Goldfish have no nutritional value, same goes with rosey reds unless the rosey's are QT'ed and gut loaded. Hikari pellets do not cloud water, aren't dirty and are much healthier than feeders. Every member with experience and knowledge will agree. The only benefit is personal enjoyment and not letting the fish get some natural predation. Floating pellets are natural predation as my peacock bass hit them about as hard as a trout slamming a fly off the surface.
