When the peacock bass are still only 2-3 inches or so what is the best thing to feed them? I have fed them black worms in the past and they seem to destroy those, but dont seem to go after feeder fish at all. any ideas?
I drop the food in (carnivore pellets) and they hit it while it's moving
I've fed feeder guppies or rosey reds in the past, just feel safer with prepared foods
its better to keep smaller peas on mainly a fish diet, use guppies, or fatheads/rosy reds..or smelt, they are piscavores..which means their diet consists mostly of fish
use a varied diet though, use fish as the main staple, along with whatever else they will accept..krill..pellets..shrimp..
i got 2/3 baby orino's eating shrimp and aro food sticks, the 3rd one doesn't eat the food sticks and is way smaller than the other 2. i noticed that the aro sticks is bring out alot of color in them only at 3"s. if not just keep them eating guppies until they can take rosies

Try blood worms as well OOO!! And Mysis like 65 or 69% protein .. When they stop eating the Black worms and blood worms.. Start the guppy and live fish diet... Ween off of live fish later... If you so choose..
Shouldn't be long till they don't really want the worms anymore and the CRAVING hits
