Okay, so its fruit fly and ant season where i live and my baby sister's Betta spends all day eating them along with his twice daily pellet feeding. i was wondering if i should feed him less or not at all and let him eat the fruit flies.

They really are great eaters. I would continue supplimenting it's diet with pellet though just in case.
insects are their natural foods. just look at the roundness of its belly. if its always full, then supplement it with pellets every other day. just use your best judgment based on how much inscets it consumed. u dont want to bloat your betta
