Ive had my Red Fin Pickerel for about a week now and i am a little worried he hasn't eaten. His fungus is almost 100% cleared up and Ive had a bunch of feeders in there for him to eat. Over the last week some feeders have been disappearing but i think only my pumpkin seed is eating them. I was told that pickerel only eat live food so Ive only had the feeders in with him, But i did try blood worms and he wont touch them. Anyone know what might be wrong? or do you think he is just eating when i don't see him?

The pumkinseed may be stressing him. I had a redbreast in with my 3 pickerel and he killed 2. Try to target feed him, get his attention and then drop a feeder infront of him. I just recently got my last pickerel on pellets, so no more feeders for me.

Well now he's alone. I had to put the pumpkin seed in with my 2 birchirs to get rid of their anchor worm and I think the pumpkin seed has a parasite problem too

He's probably eating when your not around. I had 6 zebra danios and 4 platies in with my bichir and pickerel. Everyday the pickerel had a fat belly and my fish were disapearing, but I never saw him eat. Once the feeders are gone, wait a day before adding more. He should eat them when you drop them in.
