hello everyone, quick question. I already know what to feed new hybrid. and I was wondering what time of day is the best to feed them. My new rtc/tsn has not eaten yet. I just got him yesterday I realize it could be stress, and I know they are very active at night. So when I do not feed him live when should I feed him/her pellets and krill/shrimp? Hoping to hear answers from rtc/tsn owners. :D And what pellets do u suggest. I'm thinking massivore delight in the future when he/she is bigger than 4 inches. Any other feeding information would be helpful and I know catfish almost eat anything lol :headbang2

for a start dnt feed feeders it puts the fishes health in danger, feed bloodworm and crushed prawns before lights out but they should take food anytime of the day when hungry, then when bigger move onto whole prawns and mussels, cockles massivore delite and worms, and then when massive feed fish fillets and sausage and pretty much anything! THE FISH SHOULD HAND FEED AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS OF SETTLING IN.

thanks krisRTC that was very helpful

yes, all those things kris listed are good suggestions. Personally, I fed frozen cooked shrimp. I would thaw it and break it into small enough pieces for him to eat. Also bloodworms and eventually nightcrawlers. Once he was a little bigger, I started feeding massivore. Hand feeding is very possible, just make sure you get him eating well before trying too hard.

thanks Mystus Redtail for the additional info and experience

My RTC/TSN wont even move for food when the lights are on,but turn them off and he attacks all the food like a shark!!!He will only accept raw shrimps or scallops(wich is good as they are full of protien)he also wont accept "live feeders"(strange??)

could space out feedings a bit, might make him less picky
