i have an 8" senegal that used to be very well fed but lately the gourami's i have (snakeskins not tiny dwarfs dw) have realised his sinking pellets are extremely edible. so they all eat it. and the bichir isnt getting so much food.

surely you guys have had this problem at some time or another?
i was wondering what ways round it there is?

use tongs or even a net to place the pellet in front of your bichir or in his hiding spot. always works.

I feed my gouramies w/ flake, crisps or freeze dried then while they are eating add the pellets for my polys and cats the gouramies will snatch a few but everyone gets enough

Easiest way would be at feeding time use a divider to seperate the gouramis and senegal and feed them seperatly-Anne

ive got a grabber for the snowflake eel i have, but the bichir is scared of it. i already tried that.
i heard a good idea of using a jar to put the food in and placing it in the tank with the lights off.
anyone have luck with that?

Ditch the hole jar thing just feed him at night when its totally dark in the tank when the bichir will have the advatage
