feeding a tiger shovelnose?

OK so I have a 3-4 inch tiger shovelnose that only eats feeder I want it to start eating pellets and other things so what's the best way to get it off feeders and onto pellets or is it still too young to get it off feeders?

Starve it, and then try feeding sinking pellets, shrimp, earth worms, blood worms.

Usually how long should I starve it for? And do I feed it pellets when I feed my other fishes or at his own time?

A week or so, and yes feed it as if it was already taking pellets when you feed the other fish in the tank.. What are the tankmates?
