Feeding Advice - Garlic

NLS has a pellet formula that has garlic included.

NLS TherA formula contains the following ingredients:

Main Ingredients: Krill, Herring, Wheat Flour, Garlic, Algae Meal, Soybean Isolate, Fish Oil, Beta Carotene, Spirulina, along with numerous vitamin & trace mineral supplements.

Guaranteed Analysis: Protein 38% Min., Fat 7% Min., Fiber 5% Max., Ash 9% Max., Moisture 8% Max.
 
There are a few commercially made garlic extracts on the market. You can soak your pellet food in that. Or you can make your own by mashing up regular old garlic yourself. The benefits of garlic to fish are debatable though, most of the evidence is anecdotal. If you're trying to get finicky fish to eat, or trying it to see if it helps suspected internal parasites, it might be worth a try. Other than that, I wouldn't bother.
 
Yeah, i don't think its been scientifically proven that garlic helps fish per se... but on the other hand, if you have finicky eaters you could try using the fresh raw garlic / garlic extract from an LFS to rub the food in to entice your fish to try/eat the food, but as far as helping fish, i', not sure how true that statement is...
