Hi, I recently acquired a roughly 7.5" electric catfish. I did my research beforehand and knew that they require a good robust carnivore diet so I rushed out and bought frozen beefheart, Ocean Nutrition Formula One, and a few other meaty goodies. Well, turns out the only thing he likes are pellets. Yup, pellets. Everything else eventually had to be sucked out again while he hunkered down in his tunnel. I tried Hikari Sinking Carnivore pellets on him and he ate those right up so I switched to Hikari Massivore Nuggets. My question is how much should I be feeding him? I've never fed a fish of his size and type before. The Massivore Nuggets say each nugget is the equivalent of 1.5 feeder goldfish so how many pellets would you recommend I give him? I'm worried he's going to get fat. He's already kind of a pudge. Thanks!
