I use mealworms to feed small carnivorous fish. The issue is they come packed in wood shavings, so not wanting to feed my fish wood I repack them. I generally use earthworm flakes and spirulina flakes mixed together in a plastic container. I also keep them in the refrigerator. Does anyone else "gutload" mealworms? If so what do you use?

I never thought of carrots but I like it, makes sense.

I get mine from baitshops or sometimes petco, the ones at petco came in oatmeal which I thought was pretty awesome. I never erally gutload mine, but I should. I gutload my crickets I feed to the bushfish and butterfly fish, but not my mealies.

Nobody else juices their meal worms?

I used to gutload with carrots and flakes. I would always cut their heads off though. I've read too many bad things on aro fanatics about mealworms not digesting properly
