Feeding baby aba knife

So I cracked and went against all of my fish standards and bought a baby aba knife today. He is probably 3" and just finished digesting his yolk salk. At work, none of the knives were eating infront of anybody and were hiding. Today I saw one aba knife had a bunch of holes in his head (this is presumably the diet of aba knives at this size).

Anyways, mine is super shy still, and his mouth is way too small for guppies.

So what should I feed this little guy?

I would try some live black worms or live bloodworms....

at 3'' it should be able to take new born guppies, white cloud fry and convict fry might be a bit smaller. it should eat baby snails and baby brine shrimp as well.

I think I will get some live brine shimp today and see how that does.

Live black worms.. I saw the pitting in mine when i first got him.. now thats he's in a planted tank.. i surmise it's alot like other scaless fish and they are sensitive to nitrates. BTW I am not kidding that expect it to grow 2" the first month you have it. My guy is growing at the rate of a TSN or RTC.

Try feeding him blackworms, bloodworms or even shredded tilapia at night.

blood worms should be good
