My 4.5" Dovii spawned and hatched out this morning.

They are alone in a 4-2-2. Only a tiny amount were fertile but I am pleased as they should continue to breed hopefully.

What would you say is the best thnig to feed them and how would you do it?

I used to get live brine shrimp etc and just place it near the fry, but would you do anything else?

What I dont want is to just chuck stuff in the tank and them not eat it.

The parents are both on Hikari pellets with blood worm/glassworm etc blocks put in that they like to pick up of the base.

Thanks

Hello fella.
difficult one this, the only way to really insure their survival is to provide newly hatched baby brine shrimp everyday until they are able to take powdered baby food or liquid baby foods.
if you cannot provide hatched shrimp then all you can do is provide the foods Ive mentioned above.
Lost my big male Dovvii this year.still upset about that :~(

We assumed due to the fish's small size that they wuld not be laying, and that if they did the male did not look interested at all so assumed not fertile.

So not ready for them lol

Hopefully dont loose them but will get some liquid fry feed for now.

Thanks
