Feeding Baby Mice

Guys, yesterday i fed my Datnoid a baby mouse. It wasnt really big so he swallowed it in one go. He really seemed to like it so i was wondering if feeding these animals is good food. Anybody else feeds them? Is it a good food for my polypterus too?

Any comments are welcome.

With all abnormal diet foods (not regularly taken in the wild)...moderation is the key.

yeah, i thought that too bro, wasnt planning on feeding it daily but every now and then one or two mice. especially for the polyp it might be handy as he is the only one in the tank that will touch those and thus gets the food no matter what.

Feeding baby mammals should always be an occassional adjunct to a fish's regular diet. Pinkies are loaded with lactase that fish cannot easily assimilate.

wouldnt need to be big, pinkies are tiny. i often thought about feeding pinkies to fish, but i never bothered with it.

the dat is around 9", but like davo said, he swallows them in one go, he can take way larger stuff.
