In a sump.
I just fed my rbp beef liver and they loved it.. wondering if its a good or bad idea feeding them beef liver? any outputs would be highly appreciated, also tips on what else to feed to help growth and color

thanks:)

It's ok to feed your p's raw beef liver, most p keepers prefer to use beef heart. I wouldn't feed them mammalian meat often though. The main part of their diet should be fish, such as tipalia and catfish fillets. To get good color in your p feed them shrimp (uncooked with shell on) krill and cichlid food pellets. This is a basic diet for your rbp, there are more foods you can feed them.

My rbp doesnt eat the shell from the shrimp. I take the shell off before feeding so I dont have to remove it from the tank after.

Smaller p's and finicky eaters sometimes won't eat the shells. The shrimp shells are good for the fishes color. You could add a smaller (more bite sized)invertebrates such as krill to their diet if your trying to get the best color. However this is not nessesary to keep a healthy p.
