That's depend to you but just don't feed them every day. Make sure that they are also healthy and parasite free. So better quarantine them first before feeding.

Feeders should only be used as a treat, every now and then. Many will recommend not using feeders at all, but if you do make sure you quarantine them first. As for which to get next, I'd say get which ever one you see first. They are both very nice.

What size tank are they going in?

It's okay to give your fish feeders once in a while, as long as you quarantine them very very well. It really is more trouble than it's worth, which is why a lot of people don't do it.

CDM, a member here with one of the best collection of bichirs around, and one of the few to have a very very big endlicheri congicus in his collection, feeds his bichirs lots of feeders (goldfish specifically) and a lot of people know how big and healthy his fish are.

You could probably feed feeders as the only diet, if the feeders are healthy and not diseased. It gets expensive though, and its risky because it would be very easy to miss a diseased or parasitic feeder fish, and dump it in with your bichirs and have the bichirs get sick. For ease and consistency, go with pellets.
