any tips on how to feed bloodworms?

Try dropping in a small amount near the dat and see if he eats them,you can use a dropper or a cheap turkey baster..Is the dat very small?

It's about 2 inches

That's pretty big bloodworms wont do much good for such a big fish.

Sure but what has it been eating?

Ghost shrimp and some guppy fry as of now, but from where I bought it the owner told me he fed it chicken heart

I wouldn't recommend the chicken heart but some raw shrimp or prawn would be nice.You could stuff them with pellets to get the dats training started.

My small guy fed on them just dropping them in. If yours has s interest it will eat them.
