I hope so, everytime a fish is half eaten from my gar, i throw the left overs in the rbp tank....even fish that pass away from my wifes guppy tank get thrown in there, i know they are clean and were healthy.

i was under the impression that there'd be alot of bone in the tail?
Piranhas generally eat bone and all and their digestive system goes straight out so there wont be any problems there if that is what you meant. But even so, I wouldn't feed them anything leftover or dead. They do eat rotting fish in the wild and leftovers from other fish however there are also more than just a tank-full in the wild.

I meant the scientific name means armoured catfish and one of the reason they're often kept with piranhas is because of that "armoured" body without alot of soft spots to eat (eyes, bellies). Ever pick one up? My first thought thinking of holding one is why would you WANT to feed your fish that and not so much can your piranha digest it.
