donno that they will eat it but dont see any down falls to it

i would of thorght i be fine but as a treat and a lil bit so its gets scofed if not it will got v.fungusy dew 2 the sugar in it

I think v fungusy is roughly tanslated into Very "Fungus'y". I think Jam is trying to say he has tried bananas as treats and uneaten bit grow alot of fungus/algae. Tell us how it goes if you try it.

I've fed banana to my silver dollars before, I think my severum had some too.
Agreed on only a little bit at a time though, I imagine it could turn bad quickly.

hmmm...that fungus stuff always grows on the uneaten raw shrimp if left over night...like those lil pieces of shrimp you can't find until the nxt day with the full load of fungus...but i don't see why you can't feed them it...just make sure you pick after the uneaten foods left on the bottom.

I have never seen my cichlids ever eat fruit and i have tried it with grapes, lemons, apple, orange, and not a bite.I have read in some books that u should offer fruits to them and i have seen it done at petsmart stores and i did not see any cichlids interested in their fruit wedge. The pacu's and goldfish and some of the pleco and cats liked it but i have never seen cichlids eat fruit.
