I am really starting to like my little guy. He is about 6.5 inches, maybe 7. I have mostly been feeding him live goldfish because when I feed anything else, the other fish gobble it up pretty quickly.

I imagine I will keep feeding feeders for the next few months, so I was wondering how often a knife of this size should get a small comet goldfish. (When I first got the feeders last week I really liked watching him eat, so he ate 2 per day for 2 days) I am not going to feed him today, because I don't want him to explode. But I am afraid if I lower feedings to only a couple times a week, he might start picking at the other fish. What should I do?

I would try to get it off live feeders and have it get used to the other food that you feed your fish. Best way is just to starve it...when it stops eating live and see all the other fish go for the pellets (or whatever you're feeding them), it'll learn to eat those as well.

as i feed all my fish live food from my ponds and an avid hikari user id say u can feed them 2 comets a day and throw in a few carnivore pellets at night.
it will start gettin pricey if u dont teach them to eat pellets tho unless u have feeder breeding room. use your other fish to train him
cks who hunt are mosdef more active IMO though.
(my knife tank has feeders released every week maybe 30-40)
