Does anyone feed their Datnoid clam meat? My NTT swallows it in one gulp, but I'm wondering if it takes a toll on his digestive system. The tongue and the outer lining of the clam is very elastic and chewy. My bichirs have a hard time chowing it down. I guess my question is, should i cut those parts off the clam before i give it to them? any opinions?

mine ate them too..just remove the shell out.
My dats eats EVERYTHING...shrimp, smelt, krills, squids, clams, pellets, flakes, hot dogs (turkey), beefheart, whatever I throw in the tank, it'll be gone in split seconds

Im working on getting my tigers on pellets now. I have 1 that I know will eat them(he eats just about anything), but the others might take a little more time.
My suggestion is get more dats lol..
I have 12 dats in 1 tank, once 1-2 started to eat squid, everyone else started to take them

cool.. ill continue to feed the clams the way they are then if the chewy parts are ok. My Dat would only eat anything that is big. The pellets are too small for him and he seemms to ignore it
