I have a couple of blunt-ended stainless forceps left over from an earlier project. I just cut a cucumber or squash round and skewer it onto the forceps and drop it in. I've seen other people use plant weights, and I think there's a corkscrew contraption you can buy that's made for just this purpose.
They sell clips with suction cup so you can stick it to the bottom of the tank. I just lay a piece in between the driftwood and use the wood to hold it down.
and at one of my LFS they have a "net" thats rubber that holds food in it and you stick it to the wall with a suction cup. its like a sheet of rubber about 6in long with quater size holes and it folds over on itself and holds the food.
I use a fork with a piece of string tied to it (makes retrieving it a bit easier). My clowns prefer zuchini over cucumbers but will take both, i think the zuchini is a bit less messy also.
