Feeding Clownknife bloodworm?

Hi all, I recently got a 5" clownknife, I first got him some feeders so he'll feel more comfortable but those are way gone...

Anyhoo, trying to switch him to frozen foods. I have both brine swimp and blood worms. My senegal loves blood worm but when I threw a bunch in front of the clownknife cave it was a no go.

Anybody had any experience with blood worm or should I get something else?

My CKs always loved bloodworms. It was probably used to the live food, so it might take a week before it'll start taking worms. Just keep feeding bloodworms. Since you have another fish in there, it'll see that the worms are edible and it'll go for it.

You may have to 'starve' the CK for a few days. He will eventually get the point that the blood worms are food.

What about those little small dead frozen fish that Pet's Mart sells? Are those equally as bad in regards to possible disease?

Those should be fine. The freezing usually will kill off any disease. You could also go to the market and buy some Tilapia fillets and cube them up. It's cheaper that way too.

MY CK loves frozen foods but I had a hard time getting him to eat pellets as well

Not enough nutrition in bloodworms so why not try cut up shrimp or prawn. Maybe cut up fish fillet. Training it to feed on pellets would be god as well rather than bloodworms.

just purchased 5 inch ck about a week ago wont eat blood worms but it does eat pellets
